Pacing up and down the streets of the never resting city center
Searching for one thing that will catch my eye
Excite my mind
Have me drawling over it for days
Then it comes crawling
Crippling my calves
Cutting through my marrow, leaving it cold and Dry-Lifeless
Paralyzing my pelvis
Heart palpitating
Mind now contemplating
All my life’s wrongs.
I fall helpless to my feet
Its emptiness…
An abyss so deep my heart cannot contain
Ahead I see a fulfillment I cannot obtain
My arm too short to reach
Breath too short to call
Upwards I start to fall
